My first to do is pee, wash my hands and face, then onto making coffee ☕, then a sit and read the FB page, today I see a letter by a past Prime Minister Jean Chrétien. As I read I thought about his words, our country is under attack, not by another country, but by one person that belittles our country, along with other countries.
We are in Florida now, we have many good friends that are American, I don't think this man is thinking correctly by alienating Canada and it's citizens. I'm not sure I want to enter into a pissing match over this, but I'm also not planning to be American. I'm Canadian, and will be until I die. I was born there, and all going well I'll die there.
I love traveling, here in the USA as well as Canada, Mexico too, and many other places on this planet.
I believe we are all in this life together, helping each other move forward in life. Not doing "for" someone as much as working with each other towards what's best for all of us. This division ➗ we are seeing promoted is not acceptable to me. As I have heard before, we all bleed 🩸 red, we all have goals, desires, wants. Friends Family as well as people you don't know, Yet!
Spend a day in an RV park, close to each other, friends happen quickly, as I often say, "We are all in this together" as I give someone a hand, or lend a tool, or give a tow with our truck, even just a hug when needed. We are all very close here, this division I've seen promoted for awhile now, not something I want to be involved in.
Today I'm happy to be inside, warm and comfortable, coffee ☕ beside me, phone in hand, able to get around fairly easily still. As I read these words written by Chrétien, I think he's pronouncing that we, Canadian's won't roll over, even though we have given much in our history as a country. We've taken it from one group and given it to another. This will continue I'm sure.
The pension we live on, along with savings will, we are expecting, support us to our final days. But if the way things are going continue, we may be in a different way of living when things change, mind you, things are changing by the second nowadays.
I grab my cup of coffee ☕, take a drink, and think a little more now. Were free to move (well once Rambo gets fixed up) where ever we want to some degree. But USA and Canada are our best options still, and we like to live on both sides of the line in the sandbox in our trailer we call CC for Cecil and Christopher.
All the politics will continue, but our relationship with the USA and Canada will continue, regardless of the BS that comes from people that want to divide us. COVID was a try at dividing us I think, didn't work, as once we got the masks off, first thing we wanted was hug's 🤗 🤗❤️
I'm not going to let the upper echelon decide for me who I'll be friends with, or who I'll help or hug, life is just to darn short for the division that they are promoting.
So today, Sunday morning, with the sun shining 🌟 I'll go for a walkabout here at Crooked Hook RV resort as it's called, and as I pass as per usual I'll say HI 👋 😄 to everyone I pass, talk with most everyone, Pat a dog, give a friendly smile, a handshake, and a hug if it works.
I'll not let the politics of the day change me as they go about trying to mould us into what they see in their own looking glass. My view of the glass is always had full 🤗.
