Transformer across the street went boom just after we went to bed, was a huge boom. This morning early the hydro truck with a bucket came as I was making coffee to replace the transformer. After they finish the power went out for a few seconds, then back. Very efficient I believe they are. Very fortunate to have the smallest interruption in our power, not like many others on the coast with this storm.
Yesterday Polly and I went to two craft fairs here in town, I'd seen many of the vendors before, was nice to meet with many people that we don't see often as we walked about. My leg's still healing, but moving without anything to help me now was nice to feel more independent.
One show was at the highschool here, was really a good venue for us, wide halls, and many good vendors to see. I'm not really a buying guy, just looking and saying hi 👋🏻 to many as we walked along.
Next venue was at the Athletic hall here, was also good, but this time I stopped before we went in for a hotdog, that changed as I approached the tent, the special was soup and sandwich, yep that's for me, and Polly went ahead into the building as I waited for my order.
After I got what is my hot soup in a disposable container, and my turkey sandwich 🥪 I went into the building, and immediately as I got in their was tables where I could sit and eat, with a Santa at the wall just as I entered. Was nice to see, so as I ate I was entertained by the kids and adults going to see Santa, was fun to watch as I ate.
I finished just about the time Polly did, so we went in for another quick walk around so I could have a look too. Was a nice way to spend our morning and early afternoon. Polly did have to buy a few things for our soon to be born great grandson. Polly is extremely excited about this event, I'm happy too, but Polly is glowing each time she tells someone.
Later we had our grandson Jet come over for a visit, was nice to see him and hear how good things were going for him. Always nice to connect with our grandchildren.
Today we're off to visit our grandchildren in Naniamo, hopefully the roads are ok, be busy I think, but still be nice to see them.
Every day we can get out, and I feel like I'm moving towards better mobility, making me feel good.
Yep, sure do love our life ❤️
