Small town, is standard amongst country singers and fans.

Well here we are at Sunfest after much preparation, organizing & anticipating we have all learned a lot as we stayed here this first time, so many things u can't really imagine till you get here. One thing none of us will forget is "The Hill" 😼 our first time down and up was some reality sinking in, steep, loose gravel hill to the stages was our destiny this weekend. Next was the sun 🌞 and heat đŸ„” our friends, yet too much could be our end!

Yes those two are our solid memories. Next in line are the absaloot size of this place, gigantic is my first thought, I took the long walk this morning to the main entrance and the little town area that's centered, and where you get you entrance bracelet for the main stage and late night stage. Was a nice look around, but no coffee ☕ early, I was up at 6am this morning.

We are now looking forward to seeing Blake Shelton tonight, Polly always talks about our other concerts in our past, and "Pink" Polly always says was the best so far! We are not really experienced in camping concerts, but this weekend was a first, and who knows what the future will bring.

The positive here has been great friends to spend time with Americo & Claudette are fun we get along and laugh so much with them,  👍 The showers and bathrooms close, and the clouds đŸŒ„️ came just in time to cool us down 😊 All the preparation paid off, we have had great dinners, and plenty of fun together. Oh and the lake so close, a dip during the heat of the afternoon was fantastic. Also the town close for more supplies as needed too.

The bands and singers have been great so far 3 stages here, will we go again? I'm not sure, neither is Polly, but I'm glad we did, at least once! Tonight's show be the best I'm sure đŸ€  Blake our main reason to go.

On stage we heard many of the singers talking about small towns that most of us were raised in, how that helped them develop their music đŸŽ¶, and led them to the stage. In country music I believe this is a big part of how people relate to them, and them to us. I was raised in a small town, Port Alberni, and am very happy to say this, so was Polly. Now after all our travels, and living in different places on the island, I often say I'm from the island, all the island is home, I feel comfortable everywhere here on Vancouver Island!

Today we get friends that are coming from Courtenay to be with us for the day and night, they have day passes, be MORE fun đŸ€©đŸ˜Š đŸ€
I just got a text, they're waiting now to get in the gate, here at noon, but gates don't open till 1pm, so a beer and a chair & the fun begins đŸ€

Ray Cindy & Barb be at our campsite soon, setup their tent, and get organized here, then us kids will be having fun đŸ€Ł 💃đŸ•șI'm sure.

So far it has been a special weekend, 2 couples that care very much for each other, spending time "quality time together" is great, as we all know you Never know the future, so enjoy every moment now while you can đŸ€—❤️

The clouds đŸŒ„️ today are a gift, I wasn't looking forward to more of the scorching đŸ„” 🌞 sun, even if the lake was close.

I had breakfast, a snooze 😮, a shower, wrote here, now I'm ready! Polly's gone for a shower, then we both be ready for the day. Dinner tonight be interesting, so many good different foods be served, as everyone brings something to dinner tonight! Pot luck 🍀

Then bring on the show's đŸ€ đŸ€

Life is so good everywhere we go!
Love this life đŸ€—❤️
