This morning reading an article about a craft on it's way to an astroid came up on my newsfeed. Like many I see, I clicked on the article, as it seemed interesting. Then for the next few minutes I tried to read amongst the continuous, ever frustrating mound of pop-up advertising. I decided to see if I could read this on the NASA website a little easier. Well that was a breath of fresh information, no pop-ups, ahhh, what a relief, information without interruption.
I read for awhile, and I'll go back again and read some more, but I thought of how frustrating this pop-up crap is, for all of us. When I write here, and others read it, no pop-ups, well at least when I read it I don't see any. Do any of you? Because I'm not trying to make $ from this, just relaying my thoughts, as well as information.
Today my thoughts as I read about this space exploration, I was dumbfounded, really quite shocked that right now, as I'm writing someone is piloting this ship/laboratory towards a big rock 🪨 in our solar system at speeds of 84,000 miles per hour, or 135,000kph.
My first thought was, how didn't I know about this sooner? Then as I read more I realized I had so many questions, I didn't know how or where I'd get them all answered! WOW, what an accomplishment, this ship won't get to this rock's orbit until August 2029, and then be there for 2 years or more before it returns, I really haven't gotten that far yet, does it return? Hmm, another question.
Why I'm writing though is that as I read on the NASA site, I had no absalootly no pop-ups, well one, the site once wanted me to give do a review of it, but that was one, and hit x, and it didn't come back.
As I read articles now, I'm going to be searching for places I can get information that I don't have to deal with pop-ups. I'm not sure where yet, but that is my goal from now on, no pop-ups. Anyone else have info about where I can get this please send to me. I'm really tired of playing the close the pop-up game.x x x
Not an RV Adventure really, but more of a frustration here, the adventure starts when I read about the Psyche mission, how the ship was made, and all the people involved. Also that I didn't hear or read about it till now, over a year after it launched. The article was about the communication Lazer that has worked well from 16 million miles, or 26 million kilometres away from earth. Sending images to Earth of space
Just looking like black with a few dots to me, but sent from that far away, and in about same time as we get images from a satellite close to earth 🌎 is mind boggling. Lazer data transmission is our next step in sending information from long distances.
I know, boring stuff for some, but for me, is very interesting. The key here is that I can read this without the advertising that so many other sites subject us to.
I guess I'm just old-school, I can remember a time, not too long ago where we'd watch a hockey 🏒 game with no advertising on the boards hahaha, now it's like watching Vegas all around the game.
Yep old-school, I liked it that way too!
Hmm, was that a rant? I don't think so, but after all that information, I'm still looking for a way to search for information that leaves the advertising behind.
Saturday morning searching is fun, I'm going back to the NASA site for some more info, non advertising info.
Polly is up now, she's reading a book she got from the library here at the Crooked Hook, today we get our new starlink mini dish I ordered Monday. FedEx comes here 3 times a day the office lady says, they were supposed to deliver it yesterday, but of course problem with the address. So they called yesterday as I was trying to buy tickets to a concert, and they wanted to know exactly where we are, as the address wasn't correct. Hopefully we get it today, that'll eliminate the frustration of intermittent Internet as we travel.
Ok, that's enough today, don't want to bore y'all anymore, if ya have a good way of getting info that has no interruption, pass it on for all of us to use.
Oh yeah, Rambo went in a couple days ago for diagnosis, seems he might have a leaking injector, another bit of info, hope to get this resolved soon, I've been wanting to get this figured out for awhile now. Hope to have a for sure diagnosis today, as for the repair, not sure yet if they will do it, or have to go to another shop.
All takes time, and we have time here so get it resolved now as we don't really need the truck. And our neighbor Ed said yesterday, If we needed a vehicle I could use his truck anytime. Sure nice to have good friends where ever ya go hey!
We sure do love this life ❤️
