Moosejaw on a Sunday morning 🫎 😁

Day 3 in Moosejaw, has been really nice so far. Getting a few things done we been thinking of for a little while, as well as touring the town. Derek has been great at showing me around here. Polly has been staying in, laundry, and making dinner. We did get out to shop a bit on Friday, the day we arrived, but today we'll go for a walk around down town.

I did a little examination on the trailer suspension, I'm not sure if it's causing the tire's to wear unevenly or not, I looked and all looking good, will grease the bolt bushings later today, then when we get closer to our destination in Manitoba I've got an RV guy lined up that'll take a look and see what he thinks is causing it. Always take care of a problem before it becomes a headache is my Moto.

Derek and I went for a walk about at the old Zoo property here on Friday afternoon before dinner, was a very nice walk. Polly went to the Casino here, not as successful but she had fun I'm sure. Then we went to the co-op here for groceries for dinner as Derek wasn't feeling up to a big dinner Polly had planned, so soup 🍲 was his dinner. We bought a rotisserie chicken and some spicy Tai soup yum.

That walk with Derek to the Zoo was perfect, while Polly was at the casino. I took my truck, and he guided me to the parking spot by the park, the stone there said Trans Canada trail. I didn't take a photo, but I saw it marked a couple times as we walked. The trail we walked took us to some water overlooks as well as the river here. Then to the old Zoo here, first was an old cement foundation that was covered in graffiti,

we talked about what we thought was where as we looked around the foundation. I always like graffiti, so much feeling in much I see, some scribbles, but most thoughtful.
i see many with the eye looking out or at you. I'm not sure the meaning of many, but always interesting to me.

We walked on after and saw what I thought we bathrooms, yep they were when we looked inside.
More graffiti inside
We walked around a corner, on the old pavement, to awhat looked like and old parking area, I really liked how the grass grew through the pavement.

On our way out of the park we went through what was the entrance at one time.

Was a really good tour of what at one time was a really good zoo.
Saturday I spent some time looking up the history on the Internet, much is in the minds of people, yet not many photos of the zoo at all. I'm going to go to the library before we leave, see what they have about the past zoo.

540acres is the land that was the zoo, and nothing being done with it now. I say it's a shame, hope that something will be done with it in the future.

Today we go to look at the Chinese tunnels here in moosejaw.

Always something interesting to see here.

Every day something different, love our Life ❤️
