The Farmers market!

I learned in Port Alberni that I liked the farmers market, here in Grande Prairie I realized a little more what I like about it. I'm not in the market for vegetables, although I look, mostly I look at the shelves they are on. Look at all the wood, and the way it's put together, I'm learning as I go about what I like, and what I don't, as well as how I would construct something, and how I could improve on what I see.

I know this blog is to be about RVing adventures, well farmers market's are in most towns now, that's an adventure in itself, and here in GP this market is open inside year round. The area where they close off a street will operate during the nice weather, but next weekend is last one outside for the year. I hope to go again, but we have also planned a dinner as  next Saturday be our last day in GP. We leave next Sunday.

As we travel I see and go to market's everywhere. Each town has one, and most are about veggies, but also knitting, and making many things. The woodworking, that's what attracts my attention, and each town has something different that the woodworking crew makes. I'm always looking at what's different.

Here in GP I talked with an older guy about the many pieces he's got for sale, as well as all he's made for many people here. He does some really good work, I'm planning on going back to see him again next week. I'll take a few photos, just to remember what he did, and put some of his talents to use in my work.

I did buy some honey this time, I like it in my coffee ☕, and a jar of this juice mix, rubarb strawberry 🍓 Mmm. I haven't mixed it up yet, but I'm sure be nice.

After we went to a coffee shop and had a sandwich and special coffee and talked some more. Looking back, that's a really good memory, don't get too much time with them together in their own, usually will their partners. Nice to realize at the time how special this was, as I know we won't see them again for another year 🤗❤️

We went with our granddaughter Taylor, and our grandson's girlfriend Theresa, made for fun morning. Polly enjoyed the girl talk, I did the photos 😀.
Tried to get a photo, but not steady
This is a 45lb salmon from Campbell River displayed as you walk in the coffee ☕ shop

Right now they are just on the other side of town, but soon be the other side of the country. That's one of the things about travel and gaining friends and visiting family in many different places, you just can't get to or be in all of them at one time. But with these phones, you can connect, most anywhere. In a message, or a call, is nice to know u can.

Surprisingly we don't as much as we could, just, well, I don't know, maybe it's that we just have some we do stay in solid contact with, and others, we just are intermittent. Just how it's is, not sure why, just is.

Right now I'm writing and talking with my daughter Penny, she's so happy that I'd mention here here, she thinks she's the star ⭐ of the show if I mentioned her. Today she's giddy, too much stay awake juice, and not enough sleep. She works nights on the phone for an insurance outfit. She is a Star ⭐ to me, today kind of a shooting 🌠 star lol.

I'm going to meet a friend of a friend of my son's today here in GP, he often comments on my posts, and I've become friends with him as he thinks deeply about stuff, similar to me. So today be really interesting for me, just getting to know him a little better. He lives in a farm here, and I'm interested in this, as well as he likes to search for gold, and be out in the bush away from society, I like that thought too.

It's daylight now, lately I've been enjoying the pink sky mornings, but last couple days been smoky here. Fire's in BC are effecting, and or, affecting our weather, eyes, and lungs. Been really be as last couple days. Still making a really bright pink sky for me to look at early.

Last night I went to pickup a couple hats that I saw I'll FB marketplace, was a really good deal, so I drove out to get them and saw an interesting sunset into the smoke, had to stop and take a photo.

Polly's up now, checking out the peaches that she put in a bag, hoping they would ripen, and get a little softer. "Rotten" she's saying, they went rotten! So gee, no peach cheese cake/pie. Dam, I really like that pie. Oh well, be something else I like I'm sure. Polly made cookies 🍪 the other day, I've had many already, hard to resist when there looking at me like this

I went out to take a photo, smoke is gone now, ahh that's great 👍 no smoke smell.

The I see a thick black cord leading under our trailer, hmm.
I go in the garage and yup, John delivered. I asked if he could put an upgrade breaker in, so Polly could run the microwave and the hot water heater at the same time without poping the breaker. So now a 30amp breaker installed while we were sitting watching a movie last night. I heard some movement, but didn't pay too much attention, now I know what it was.

To us that is a really big thing, thanks John. Sometimes you just gotta be thankful to all those that help ya along in life. Jack and Wendy, they have been really nice in letting us be here while we visit around the town with our grandchildren, with no expectations. We come and we go, and always they say do what you want, we be doing our thing too. Being able to have a safe haven while we are here visiting is really special. 🤗❤️

Well I'm not too ambitious today, but my usual, dumping sewer, and a visit, then I see a roast out, Polly be rotisserie ing. Be another wonderful Sunday I'm thinking.

Life is good wherever we go.
Love our life ❤️
