Psyche, a spacecraft on mission to explore an astroid of the same name.

This morning reading an article about a craft on it's way to an astroid came up on my newsfeed. Like many I see, I clicked on the article, as it seemed interesting. Then for the next few minutes I tried to read amongst the continuous, ever frustrating mound of pop-up advertising. I decided to see if I could read this on the NASA website a little easier. Well that was a breath of fresh information, no pop-ups, ahhh, what a relief, information without interruption.

I read for awhile, and I'll go back again and read some more, but I thought of how frustrating this pop-up crap is, for all of us. When I write here, and others read it, no pop-ups, well at least when I read it I don't see any. Do any of you? Because I'm not trying to make $ from this, just relaying my thoughts, as well as information.

Today my thoughts as I read about this space exploration, I was dumbfounded, really quite shocked that right now, as I'm writing someone is piloting this ship/laboratory towards a big rock 🪨 in our solar system at speeds of 84,000  miles per hour, or 135,000kph.

My first thought was, how didn't I know about this sooner? Then as I read more I realized I had so many questions, I didn't know how or where I'd get them all answered! WOW, what an accomplishment, this ship won't get to this rock's orbit until August 2029, and then be there for 2 years or more before it returns, I really haven't gotten that far yet, does it return? Hmm, another question.

Why I'm writing though is that as I read on the NASA site, I had no absalootly no pop-ups, well one, the site once wanted me to give do a review of it, but that was one, and hit x, and it didn't come back.

As I read articles now, I'm going to be searching for places I can get information that I don't have to deal with pop-ups. I'm not sure where yet, but that is my goal from now on, no pop-ups. Anyone else have info about where I can get this please send to me. I'm really tired of playing the close the pop-up game.x x x

Not an RV Adventure really, but more of a frustration here, the adventure starts when I read about the Psyche mission, how the ship was made, and all the people involved. Also that I didn't hear or read about it till now, over a year after it launched. The article was about the communication Lazer that has worked well from 16 million miles, or 26 million kilometres away from earth. Sending images to Earth of space

Just looking like black with a few dots to me, but sent from that far away, and in about same time as we get images from a satellite close to earth 🌎 is mind boggling. Lazer data transmission is our next step in sending information from long distances.

I know, boring stuff for some, but for me, is very interesting. The key here is that I can read this without the advertising that so many other sites subject us to.

I guess I'm just old-school, I can remember a time, not too long ago where we'd watch a hockey 🏒 game with no advertising on the boards hahaha, now it's like watching Vegas all around the game.

Yep old-school, I liked it that way too!

Hmm, was that a rant? I don't think so, but after all that information, I'm still looking for a way to search for information that leaves the advertising behind.

Saturday morning searching is fun, I'm going back to the NASA site for some more info, non advertising info.

Polly is up now, she's reading a book she got from the library here at the Crooked Hook, today we get our new starlink mini dish I ordered Monday. FedEx comes here 3 times a day the office lady says, they were supposed to deliver it yesterday, but of course problem with the address. So they called yesterday as I was trying to buy tickets to a concert, and they wanted to know exactly where we are, as the address wasn't correct. Hopefully we get it today, that'll eliminate the frustration of intermittent Internet as we travel.

Ok, that's enough today, don't want to bore y'all anymore, if ya have a good way of getting info that has no interruption, pass it on for all of us to use.

Oh yeah, Rambo went in a couple days ago for diagnosis, seems he might have a leaking injector, another bit of info, hope to get this resolved soon, I've been wanting to get this figured out for awhile now. Hope to have a for sure diagnosis today, as for the repair, not sure yet if they will do it, or have to go to another shop.

All takes time, and we have time here so get it resolved now as we don't really need the truck. And our neighbor Ed said yesterday, If we needed a vehicle I could use his truck anytime. Sure nice to have good friends where ever ya go hey!

We sure do love this life ❤️

Crooked Hook RV resort 🪝 for the winter

Here we are now, settled in a little, still more to do to get really nested, but comfortable now.Visited the Tiki hut a couple times,

           aligators inside the Tiki hut

had a few beers, and a hotdog 🌭 , Friday night we had a bratwurst, Mmm 😋.

There was a fire 🔥 for the group, and karaoke 🎤 was to be on, but we decided enough, and went back to our home before the mosquitoes 🦟🦟 of nightfall happened.

The pool I've been in 3 times already, love the cool when it's warm, and the least bit of effort in the Sun here leads to me wanting the pool. Polly did the laundry that Friday, while I visited with and met others at the pool, learning that the trip to the flea market was on Saturday at 9:30 leave time. And the fire and hotdogs were on that night too. Lots to learn at the pool.

Our neighbor Ed is really interesting, he was a charter fisherman, lived here in Clewiston all his life. I'm going to learn much from him I'm sure. Polly has started fattening him up already, made a very nice cheesecake for thanksgiving, of course neighbors gotta have a piece too!

Our neighbor on the other side, Laurie, she had a piece too, we haven't seen her since, but I'm sure she enjoyed it. Her trailer a park model, I found out she's renting off the resort, where Ed is here after selling his property here in Clewiston, a smaller pull trailer about 24' long. He lives full time here now.

The people we went to Fort Myers, to the flea market were welcoming, and friendly, I can't remember all their names, but Tim, he was the one I remember readily. He kinda lead us all around the market. Then for a bit of lunch, and another bit of shopping.

Sunday today, will go to Walmart, get a few things, and that'll be our start.

I have a couple books 📚 I've been saying I'll read one day, and while we are here I'm going to. Both written by Ernest Hemingway, imm going to look in the library for them today. "To have and have not." & "For whom the bell tolls."

I'm not sure what I'll get out of them, but I'm interested in him, and his writing. I watched a story on YouTube this morning of his life, and how much of what he wrote had had some to do with his life, so that'll be interesting to see how he wrote, and how it is compared to his life.

Polly is busy early with her card game she plays, talking lightly to herself as she plays, drinking her coffee ☕, and relaxing, early morning. Nice for us to sit together, yet have our own things that interest us. Polly first says, " We have to sign up for Christmas dinner" then Polly now talks about the desert she's planning for Christmas dinner, LoL, outta the blue she says "I think it'll be nice to have that check mix under the cupcake 🧁, like we saw yesterday". It takes me a bit to understand what she talking about, but I get it, then "yep I say, that be nice 👍"

Now she back to cursing her card game, and speaking to the tablet like the people at the table hear her lol 😂

And that an early morning in our house, quiet, with a plan, but slowly going along till Polly gets going. I've read, drank my coffee ☕ ☕, ate a couple muffins, gone to the bathroom, and researched a few things I wanted to know about, watched a short story, now I think I'll go for a walk. Well after I message a few friends.

That's another thing different here, we are 3 hours ahead of most our friends and family, so on a much different schedule. But still, will try to keep in touch!

Polly now almost singing out,"You guys are all going to get 26!" Lol she's very good at cards, and very happy to clobber her opponent's. Then on to the next game. I laugh to myself, I just couldn't do this over and over. I can play poker on line for awhile, but I get tired with it too.

I ordered a mini starlink dish 📡 yesterday, keeping decent Internet has been something we've always wanted, and this seems for now the best option. Will get it sometime this week, hopefully be as good as I read about it.

OMG, the latest outta Polly, I guess not going as good as a few minutes ago 🤣

I'm going to go do a walkabout now, well after I message.

Sure do love this life ❤️ of ours ❤️
