Moving day is here, Quartsite to Yuma

Moving is exciting, a new place, and new faces, even though we have many people here we have yet to meet, still nice to move on to another different place. We have booked in at Fortuna De Oro for the month of February, maybe even 1/2 of March. Pools are heated there, and many events daily, so will be busy learning the way things are laid out there. Also we meet up with friends, Don and Chris Wutke, and Rob & Dawn Newton. Also will get to see Lorne and Jo Hilmo, so fun should be most all the time. Also met a group in Parker that will stay here too just a few sites away, could be a par-tee!

Leaving Quartsite is OK, as we managed to get to the RV show a couple times, and buy just a few things, best for both of us was our Shaw Dish, makes a difference as we can now keep in contact with what is going on in our country while away, as not much Canadian news here. Today Rain and warnings of rivers overflowing possible, not missing this time of the year on the coast. We also purchased a Flag pole for our trailer, proud to display our Canadian Flag, been wanting to get this for awhile.

Still an active mine, but no movement today

The old home site for the mine

Some of the machinery left over

We also got to do a few drives around here and see some of what the desert had to offer, an old mine that the guy was busy at for over 60 years, and a canyon where palm trees are wild, which was a good trek for us on a Sunday. All in all was a good experience, and as per usual, We learn as we go, and learning as we walk Bosco catches me by surprise sometimes. Going to the trailer park next to us was a fun trip, and up Palm Canyon was a bit of a rough trek for this old dog, and Bosco too, he slept and was very calm on the way home.

As we are to head up the trail to Palm Canyon

Huge mountain range here

Wild Palms in the canyon, didn't bring my camera, so pics not too good.

Polly waiting for me, she and Bosco waited far down the Canyon

Short post this time, as travel always makes me push to go. LOL Polly knows this, but a short trip today makes it easier, lets see how it goes. Just loving this life.
