Sunday's early morning cool to start.

Warm day's has been great to start summer 🌞, this week I've hidden from the warm afternoon sun, a little too intense for me. I managed to get our Internet setup nicely now, had to put the mini dish 📡 on our flag pole again, works great, had to get above the tree that was blocking the signals. 

Travel and Internet was always a problem, until we tried starlink, best reliable Internet yet. Data on our phones was good, and hard wired in a campground was good too, but this new way to be connected is the best. Set the dish out pointing north, and if a clear view, Internet is great in a few minutes. When traveling always nice to be sure to have a signal.

Having to put the receiver up on a pole not exactly the best, but the amount of effort is worth good Internet, as we stream all video through this, no throttling, no Data warning, just continuous solid signal. 

Got this speed two days ago, before I extended the dish on the pole. 👍

We are pretty well setup here at our new site out Beaver Creek, quiet, peaceful, not too far from town, I always wanted to live out here someday, so here we are. People have asked how long will you be there? We really don't know, till we decide to move.   Shop setup be nice for next spring, and through the winter be able to go out and make many things while here, although we are planning a trip this winter to ?? Not sure yet. Portugal, Spain, Mexico, who knows. 

I'm having a good time here spending time with our grandchildren. Went to the West Coast rangers Range days yesterday, was interesting again, I think my 3rd time going to this, was a little less attendance, warm weather keeps people busy at many other places. Still the people that spend time there were out educating us about the place, and what goes on there. 

My granddaughter Shayla is a member, so is her fiance Carl, so we have an in already.

Was really nice to have Shayla show us around, Jet & Dax really liked shooting the gun's, and throwing axes and knives, also spear chucking.

People dressed as they would have in the 1800's or earlier, showing us how they lived then. What they ate, how they cooked, even how the started a fire 🔥.

We met Daniel & Georgina later, was nice to see them come out to experience this, so much to see and learn about. George always questions, Daniel was impressed with the HBC flag, Hudson Bay Company the biggest player in early Western development. 
 

Realy nice to be here with family, enjoying Range Days.

I'll probably go again next year, maybe get a few other's to go check it out. I always say "Never know unless you go!" Keeps me wandering through this life. I'm always interested in seeing a new place, meeting new people, and experiencing different ways people interact. The people that are at the range are in the 21st century, dressing and acting as they were in the 15th 16th or later century. Now that is interesting, right here in Port Alberni, and most people don't know about it. 

Might not join the club, but they always looking for new members, as that's what keeps them moving forward with their club. 

Sure was a good day, and spending it with my family making it even better.
